I loved this book There are enough surprises and secrets that kept me turning the pages Ms Kirchel is an entertaining author with a warm sympathetic voice that brought the characters to life I especially liked Oliver and the other cats English I can t actually review this book because I wrote it but I am going to recommend it For anyone who has any middle grade readers who might possibly be bored during the summer s extreme heat or afternoon thunderstorms Not only is this book a fun read part adventure part mystery part story about family but it references other great summer reads Some are well known like Alice s Adventures in Wonderland or Treasure Island Some less known like the Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen All great fun and at least several hours worth of reading.
