Some very good stories here 9780394703268 Great stories by Bradbury Simak Brown Bester and others Contains A Canticle for Leibowitz which is a classic 9780394703268 The subtitle of this book is Twenty Stories in the Modern Manner The intention of the collection was to show that science fiction could be good literature Unfortunately the editor seems to have suffered from a particularly twentieth century malady the assumption that good literature must be misanthropic All of the stories are interesting and many of them are even enjoyable However the vast majority have a dim view of humanity and therefore are not really my cup of tea One future I d like to see is one in which anthrophiles are valued as writers of good literature and good films for that matter 9780394703268
